English translation — יחידות אור לכ"ה ניסן ג

May the ¹ Almighty bless and grant success to each of the chassanim and kallahs and their families — to make all these preparations for the wedding in a good manner,

in a successful manner,

in a Jewish manner and in a Chassidic manner.

And may the wedding be at a good and auspicious hour,

may one build an everlasting edifice upon the foundations of Torah and mitzvah.

And also until the wedding and after the wedding,

may each one do [his part] in spreading Judaism,

beginning with dissemination by oneself,

and in the entire surroundings,

and out of joy and goodness of heart,

by showing a living example,

in addition to "words that come from the heart" ²,

heartfelt words.

For this will add even more to the blessings of the Almighty,

as they are enumerated in the text of the Sheva Brachot,

including the blessing of "Soon ³...

may there be heard in the cities of Yehudah and in the streets of Yerushalayim, etc.",

because thereby one brings closer the true and complete redemption through Mashiach Tzidkeinu.

And also until then,

while in exile,

one should do [everything] more and more heartfully and more lively in all matters of goodness,

Torah and mitzvot — including,

as mentioned,

that the preparations for the wedding and the wedding and the Sheva Brachot with the entire life thereafter should be with great and extraordinary success.

In this regard, I wish to mention the good custom,

the custom of Israel,

that a chassan and kallah should give on the day of their wedding ⁴ in the morning

(and in any case — before the chuppah)

from their own money to tzedakah,

and how good it is that their parents should also do so for their merit.

B. And in order to participate in the joy of Israel, for every joy of a Jew, and especially the joy of a chassan and kallah, is indeed a joy of the entire Jewish people — I will give each one of you a dollar on condition to give to tzedakah, and how good [it is] on the day of the wedding.

And may there be good and joyous tidings until the day of the wedding,

and in the days thereafter,

and always, all the days.

Until there comes the main and general tidings that includes all blessings — that Mashiach Tzidkeinu is coming very soon,

and He will lead us upright to our land,

and He takes out each one of you and each one of us and each one of the Jewish people from exile,

and everyone goes together,

"with the clouds of heaven" ⁵,

in a very swift manner,

in a manner of "I will hasten it" ⁶,

to our holy land,

"a land which the L-rd your G-d cares for; the eyes of the L-rd your G-d are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year" ⁷,

and there itself — in Yerushalayim, the holy city,

and there itself to the Temple Mount,

in "the Sanctuary, O L-rd, which Your hands have established" ⁸.

And especially as we come from the time of our freedom,

from the days of your going out from the land of Egypt,

which, in analogy to this, will be the true and complete redemption ⁹ — only in an even higher and more wondrous manner ¹⁰.

And especially as we count each day the Omer ¹¹,

how many days have passed from the Exodus from Egypt,

which means that each day one becomes closer to all good matters,

beginning with the Giving of our Torah,

and also to the true and complete redemption,

and speedily, in our very own days.
