It is not written which day because the verse is connected to the preceding paragraph that ends 'a land flowing with milk and honey' that before they entered the land there was a covenant on the acceptance of the Torah.

And this is 'this day' etc., namely at the time of their entry into the land,
And therefore 'and honey' this day is the main obligation of the one... that the honey in the first section is connected to the verse below it because everything is one topic.

What is the connection of this with 'This day Hashem your God commands you etc.' - which applies to all mitzvot,
And in which Jews are obligated in every time and every place,

We must understand regarding this name of the portion -

Sefer HaSichot - 5751
The entire portion - beginning from the essence of the mitzvah of Bikkurim,
until also the covenant on the totality of all the mitzvot in our portion - called by the name "Ki Tavo",
Which is nothing more than a preparation and introduction to the fulfillment of the mitzvot in the land!
One will understand this by prefacing the novelty in the mitzvah of Bikkurim regarding other ways of giving praise and thanks to Hashem:
The content of bringing Bikkurim and recitation of Bikkurim is the recognition that 'from Him, blessed be He, comes to us all the blessings in the world'25; the blessing from the Almighty brings a Jew an abundance of crops and fruits in his field,
Therefore he gives to the Almighty 'from the first of all fruit of the earth'25,
from the first and best fruit of the field,
and thanks the Almighty
(and is not an ingrate2)
for the fruits with which the Almighty has blessed him and for all His kindnesses
("kindnesses of the Omnipresent"2)
- "And you shall answer and say before Hashem your God",
"recount His kindnesses, blessed be He, upon us and upon all the people of Israel in general".
The feeling of gratitude to the Almighty for His kindnesses and therefore saying thanks and giving praise and thanks to Hashem is,
a general matter in the life of a Jew,

And this is the foundation,
the first introduction to his service of God,
which is continued in the blessings and prayers

and for Your wonders and goodnesses that are at all times, evening, morning, and afternoon" and in the various and many 'blessings of enjoyment' that a Jew blesses and thanks the Almighty throughout the entire day,
and every day,
for every goodness and pleasure that he enjoys,
including - and especially - the Grace after Meals
(which is from the Torah4)
- "Who nourishes the entire world with His goodness, with grace, kindness, and mercy, etc."
Moreover: even among the nations of the world,
who believe and acknowledge that the Almighty is the Creator of the world and its leader - there is the practice to thank the Almighty for giving them food, etc.
And this is further emphasized according to the well-known teaching of the Baal Shem Tov

that the creation of the entire world is accompanied every day and every moment.
Which is an unlimited kindness from the Almighty Creator of the world to every created being - which affects the created being and brings him to a deeper recognition and the feeling,

Is entirely dependent on the constant kindness of the Almighty37.
In the mitzvah of Bikkurim, however, one finds a novelty - a deeper and more encompassing expression of recognition and gratitude to the Almighty3: The Jew expresses his feelings of gratitude to the Almighty for the kindnesses not only in speech,
but he expresses it in an even stronger manner - in action: he takes 'from the first of all fruit of the earth,'
and brings it to the Holy Temple,
"you shall bring to the House of Hashem your God"3,
"to the place that Hashem your God will choose to rest His name there"3,
and places it before the Almighty,
"and you shall set it down before Hashem your God"4.
This expresses the full recognition that 'the earth and its fullness belong to Hashem,'
that everything belongs to the Almighty: the Jew is not satisfied with the recognition that what he possesses comes to him through the kindness of Hashem and His blessing - rather he demonstrates by bringing the Bikkurim that even after receiving the abundance of fruits, the fruits belong
(and all his possessions)
still belong to the Almighty
(because 'the earth and its fullness belong to Hashem')
,
,
and therefore he brings the 'first of all fruit of the earth'
(the first and best)
"before Hashem your God,"
it remains in the possession of the Almighty42.
And the action of bringing the Bikkurim 'before Hashem your God'
(in a manner that it remains there)
Affects the person bringing the Bikkurim even more deeply - so that he should recognize even more,
perceive and feel - how he entirely and everything that is in his possession belongs 'before Hashem your God' - because through bringing Bikkurim
(in actual deed)
the recognition is expressed not only in his thought and speech
(as it is through giving praise and thanks in Grace after Meals and the like)
,
,
but also in his action; this pervades his entire existence, all his 'garments',
until the action and deed also penetrates more deeply his speech - 'and you shall answer and say before Hashem your God,'
so that he says it aloud
("and you shall answer' means raising the voice"43)
and with joy,
and his thought and intention in this.
And one could say the explanation in this3:
Chazal say4 that Jews are called 'Bikkurim',
as it is stated4 'Like the first fruit on a fig tree in its beginning, I saw your fathers,'
and 'Israel was holy to Hashem, the first of His produce'4,
because just as 'Bikkurim'
(from the expression "in a pit")
are "the first fruits of the soil,"
and "they preceded"
Sefer HaSichos - 5751
Bikkurim to all"45 - thus Jews are the "first" of the world"5 - before and higher than everything that was created - "the thought of Israel preceded everything"51.
As our Sages say52 on the verse "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth," that the world was created "for the sake of Israel who are called 'the first of His produce.'"
And this applies not only to the collective souls of Israel above or the collective people of Israel below,
but to every individual Jew below,
men, women, and children,
as our Sages say54: "Each and every person is obligated to say, 'For me the world was created,'"
Every Jew must say that the world was created for his sake.
Just as the bikkurim in plain sense must be brought to Jerusalem and placed in the Holy Temple,
"before the Lord your God" - so too regarding Jews: being the "bikkurim" of the world,
the true "place" of Jews,
of every Jew,
is "before the Lord your God,"
in the Holy Temple.
Because the primary and true existence of a Jew
(even as a soul in a body below)
is his Godly soul55,
which
is "literally a part of God above"5,
until - in the well-known expression57 - "Israel and the Holy One, blessed be He, are one,"
and therefore,
every Jew,
no matter in what state he finds himself,
is connected and bound with the Almighty,
and therefore he must be
(also revealedly)
"before the Lord your God,"
"before" - both in its simple meaning: before - adjacent to the Almighty,
and in its inner meaning: from the word inner*5 - in the innerness of "the Lord your God,"
"Israel and the Holy One, blessed be He, are one."
For although the entire world was created by the Almighty,
the world was created only as a means "for the sake of Israel who are called the first,"
and accordingly it does not take and does not reach the innerness
("before")
of the will and intention of the Lord your God; but Israel are "bikkurim"
("first")
- the purpose is in them themselves5,
and all other things were created "for the sake of Israel,"

and we do not differentiate in this between one Jew and another,

From this it is also understood,
that the fact that a Jew is "before the Lord your God" must permeate the entire life of a Jew in general,
and also in particular.
A Jew must feel that every detail of his life is a matter of "bikkurim" to the Almighty: not only when he is involved in Godly matters,
Torah study and fulfillment of commandments,

but even when he is occupied with everyday worldly matters of livelihood and the like - since they are matters of permission of a Jew,
also they belong to the concept of bikkurim,
and accordingly they must be infused with the fullest and highest degree of elevation and holiness6,

Based on this, the superiority of the mitzvah of bikkurim over the other modes of thanksgiving and praise to God is understood:
The inner concept of "bikkurim,"
that it brings out how the true existence of Jews is one thing with the Almighty,
and therefore all their details are "before the Lord your God" - is reflected in the fulfillment of the mitzvah of bikkurim in plain sense
(through Jews), that it is not only a verbal acknowledgment,
but also in action - that one brings the physical fruits "before the Lord your God" and they remain in the possession of the Holy One, blessed be He,
the physical fruits are transformed into holiness,
and this is accomplished through the existence of the Jew who brings the bikkurim,
in his thought, speech and action - that he
(The Jew)
becomes the "speaker"
(the source)
who says and sings the praise of the Holy One, blessed be He - "And you shall speak and say before the Lord your God,"
and all of Israel,
including the "priest who will be in those days,"
and also the Almighty Himself, as it were,
stand and listen to what he says,
not merely as the relationship of a Creator
and created, where the creature acknowledges G-d for the flow of life and kindness,
but Creator and creature remain two separate things,
as above.
Through the fulfillment of the mitzvah of first fruits,
one reveals below in this lowly world,
that Jews
(being souls in bodies)
are "first fruits"
("first")
of the entire world,
for whose sake the entire world was created.
From this is understood the general concept in the mitzvah of first fruits, which connects her with the entirety of the Torah and mitzvos:
First fruits bring out the purpose of fulfilling the entire Torah and mitzvos - that with a Jew,
even as he finds himself as a soul in a body in this physical world,
he should be revealed as he is "first fruits"
("first" of the entire world)
- being one thing with the Almighty,
"before the Lord your God,"
"Israel and the Holy One, blessed be He, are all one."
More deeply and profoundly:
That which Jews are "first fruits" - "The thought of Israel preceded all things" - is even with regard to Torah.
For although "In the beginning" - "two beginnings,"
"for the sake of the Torah which is called 'beginning of His way' and for the sake of Israel who are called 'beginning of His produce,'"
"Two things preceded the world: Torah and Israel,
and I do not know which of them came first" - but "when He says 'Command the children of Israel, speak to the children of Israel,' I say that Israel preceded,"
because "the entire Torah is commands to Israel."

Shabbos Parshas Ki Savo,
2 Elul
The meaning in this, however, is not
that Israel,
as they preceded and are above the Torah,
have no connection with Torah, G-d forbid - as is clear from the very fact that the one word "Bereshis" includes "two beginnings,"
Torah and Israel.
For even though externally Torah and Israel are two things,
nevertheless, in truth and essence they are one thing: Jews are connected with Torah
("they are our life and the length of our days"), and Torah is connected with Jews
("the entire Torah is commands to Israel")
.
.
And the meaning of what "Israel preceded the Torah" is - in the manner of cause and effect, as it were: The Torah was given for the sake of Jews
(commands to Israel), and therefore saving a life supersedes the entire Torah,
and not the opposite.
Fulfillment of the Torah is not possible without Jews,
we need Jews who will receive and fulfill the Torah
(which is "an inheritance of the congregation of Jacob")
.
.
This is not the case regarding the existence of Israel, which is possible even if one transgresses the Torah and mitzvos, G-d forbid - as our Sages said, "Even though he sinned, he is still Israel,"
for Jews are above the Torah
[as this is clearly expressed in the concept of teshuvah,
that even one who has transgressed the Torah, G-d forbid,
can do teshuvah,
because his soul reaches a "place" that is above the Torah
(as known regarding the matter, "They asked the Torah, 'Let him ask...' They asked the Holy One, blessed be He, etc. He said, 'Let him do teshuvah and be forgiven'"
)
]
]
.
.
Since, however, Torah comes together with Israel
("two beginnings")
- precisely in this itself - is "Israel preceded" - it is understood
that the very existence of Israel is connected with Torah
[for Jews are essentially connected with the Almighty,
and therefore also with His wisdom and will
(Torah,
for "Torah and the Holy One, blessed be He, are all one")
and therefore the existence of Israel itself
(being one with the Holy One, blessed be He)
brings a Jew to actual and revealed fulfillment of the Torah,
as per the ruling of the Rambam that the inner will of a Jew
(even in a situation where his evil inclination overpowers him)
is always to fulfill the will of G-d
("He desires to be of Israel and desires to perform all the mitzvos and distance himself from transgressions"
Only in the usual manner - this matter itself
(that Israel preceded the Torah)
is revealed
88
8ו8
Sefer HaSichos - 5751
in actuality through Torah,
for according to the usual order of service, initially
(from the aspect of "an upright man walks")
a Jew must learn Torah and fulfill its mitzvos,
and through this the superiority of Jews is revealed; but even without this, it is possible that the revelation of the essence of Jews as they are above Torah should take place
(as this is expressed in the service of teshuvah,
as above)
.
.
And the explanation of this:
Regarding the expression "Three knots are tied one to another:
the Holy One, blessed be He, Torah, and Israel,"
the question is well-known: Three things connect through only two knots.
What is the expression "three knots"? One of the explanations of this is: In addition to the connection of Israel with the Holy One, blessed be He, which comes through Torah,
there is also a third connection between Israel and the Holy One, blessed be He - that Israel are above Torah,
and on the contrary, they connect Torah with the Holy One, blessed be He
(Who is above Torah)
.
.
That is,
there are two levels in Israel:
(a)
(א)
As the souls of Israel descend below into a body in this physical world,
where they are an actual created entity,
and
וואס
due to the concealment and hiddenness of the world,
their connection with the Holy One, blessed be He, is not seen openly,
and therefore one must reveal it through Torah - which, even as it is below, is "Torah and the Holy One, blessed be He, are all one":
(b)
(ב)
And through this
(the connection of Israel with Torah)
- the essence of Israel is revealed,
that "Israel and the Holy One, blessed be He, are all one,"
as they preceded and are above Torah.
Therefore Jews have the ability to influence and innovate in Torah,
until they connect Torah with the Holy One, blessed be He, who is above Torah
(as above)
.
.
One could say,
that since Jews - even as they find themselves below - are "first fruits,"
"before the Lord your God" - then even below, the essence of Jews exists as they are above Torah
[and this is expressed openly in the matter of teshuvah,
as above]
.
.
And obviously also from the aforementioned saying of our Sages, of blessed memory, that "every single person is obligated to say: for me the world was created,"
which includes
(simply)
every Jew,
even an ignoramus,
who has no revealed connection to Torah.
[And as hinted in the language of our Sages: even at the level of "the world was created" - which was before the giving of the Torah and before the commandment to study Torah - he is obligated to say "for me the world was created"]
.
.
And it can be said that this expresses itself in practice regarding a young child and minor in Israel
(before he begins to speak and has a revealed connection to Torah study)
,
,
And similarly a minor in knowledge who still has no revealed connection to Torah
(not through his fault, heaven forbid,
but a child captured among the nations)
- that as-

For the Almighty placed him in this situation and he is not guilty in it,
even though he has no revealed connection to Torah,

(a)

In the usual manner, the connection between Yisrael and the Holy One, blessed be He, is through Torah2,
for which reason "Torah study is equivalent to all others,"
and it is a constant obligation on every Jew to study Torah in every free moment4,
because his existence and reality depend on it.
(b)
(ב)
But when it comes to one who is in a situation - through no fault of his own - where he still has no revealed connection to Torah - then with him there is the matter of "first fruits,"

On the contrary - this very thing brings him to Torah,
as mentioned above.

And it can be said that the general concept in the mitzvah of first fruits

is also expressed in the "recitation of the first fruits,"
the passage that the one bringing the first fruits recites: "And you shall speak and say before Hashem your G-d,

that despite the fact that "An Aramean tried to destroy my father,"
that Yaakov was with Lavan,

"And Hashem brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and with great awe and with signs and wonders,"
until "He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey" - He chose the Jews as "first fruits" of the entire world5; and therefore Jews bring - measure for measure4 - "the first fruit of the ground which You, Hashem, have given me, and you shall place it before Hashem your G-d."
Which expresses how Jews - even before the giving of the Torah,
before they had a revealed connection to Torah below5 - are on the level of "first fruits,"
that preceded everything,
even the Torah,
and this is revealed through the fact that "he became there a great, mighty, and numerous nation,"
and then "Hashem brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and with great awe and with signs and wonders,"
until "He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey."
Accordingly, the law regarding first fruits is also sweetened,
that "the first fruits require a vessel."
",
",
as it is written "and you shall place it in a basket,"
and in this very thing is the law,
that "if he brought them in a metal vessel
[as was the custom of the wealthy that "they would bring their first fruits in baskets of silver and of

the kohen takes the first fruits and returns the vessel to its owner,
and if he brought them in a vessel of willow, reeds, or the like
[as the custom of the poor57]
then the first fruits and the baskets go to the kohanim:
The perfection of the revelation of the virtue of Yisrael in the aspect of "first fruits" consists in this,
that even as they stand in a "vessel,"
a soul in the vessel of the body

,
,
even until a poor vessel
(there is no poor except in knowledge)
,
,
it is recognizable there that they are "first fruits."
And on the contrary: "The first fruits require a vessel" - the first fruits come "before Hashem your G-d" specifically through a vessel.
Until that specifically a vessel of the simplest things
(from this lowest world, of which there is no lower than it)
becomes united with the first fruits,
so that "the first fruits and the baskets go to the kohanim,"
so that even the vessel itself becomes on the level of "before Hashem your G-d."
And furthermore: Through this it is established that there should be "and you shall place it in a basket,"
basket [tena] is an acronym for taamim, nekudos, osiyos [cantillations, vowels, letters] - so that one should have the perfection of Torah,

in addition to the letters and the vowels of the Torah - also the cantillations of the Torah,
and in the manner of "and you shall place" the "first fruits" - that the Jew "lies" inwardly in

"First fruits" - the intrinsic virtue of Yisrael

,
,
in a revealed manner down below,
which is expressed in practice and revealed through that which 'You shall keep the words of this covenant,'
Jews take upon themselves and fulfill the Almighty's Torah and mitzvot,
"This day the L-rd your G-d commands you to do these statutes and judgments; you shall keep and do them with all your heart and with all your soul"
(in a manner that it takes them over completely / so that one sees openly in the world as 'And the L-rd has distinguished you this day to be His treasured people, etc., and to set you high above all nations which He has made, for praise, for a name, and for glory'58.
With this, one will also understand—in more detail—the connection of Bikkurim to Rashi's exposition on the verse 'This day the L-rd your G-d commands you'—'Each day they should be new in your eyes, as if you were commanded regarding them on that very day'59:
We spoke earlier

that since the purpose in Jews—being 'Bikkurim'—is in themselves,
and everything was created for their sake,
therefore it is understandable,
that every detail in the life of a Jew
(even one that does not yet have a revealed connection to Torah)
- every moment in time,
every point
in place,
every single thought,
speech or deed,
has a purpose in itself
(and is not a means to something else)
,
,
that it is an entirely new thing
(from the perspective of the purpose that the detail has in itself / regarding this applies the obligation to say 'For me

that all matters of the world,
all moments in time etc. are included in that one moment.
From this it is understood,
that the ability to achieve that 'Each day they should be

- comes specifically from a Jew
("Bikkurim")
,
,
because regarding all matters of the world—since they are not a purpose for themselves,
but only a means to something else
(for the sake of Israel and for the sake of the Torah)
,
,
it can be that a day
(and certainly a moment)
in time,
might be a continuation of the service of a previous day,
or a preparation and means for a day after this:
Specifically Jews have the ability to achieve 'Each day they should be new in your eyes,'
a true renewal
[like the renewal every day and every moment in the creation of something from nothing by the Holy One, blessed be He, Himself4]
And each day,
which includes also every moment,
so that the new moment becomes a new beginning in his service of Torah and mitzvot, which in itself includes all moments until the end and conclusion of his service,
like the way that specifically Jews have the power to innovate in Torah itself
(being prior to it)
,
,
and also—to achieve a renewal in the Torah student himself,
that he becomes like a completely new person
(through his Torah study / and every day and moment—in a new manner.

With this, one will also understand the explanation in the name of the portion 'Tavo':
Even though 'Tavo
(to the Land)
" is a preparation and introduction to the fulfillment of the mitzvot when entering the Land of Israel—nevertheless, being a deed and order of service of a Jew!,

itself a purpose for itself

,
,
which includes
(in this detail)
all matters of service.
And this is also the content of the word 'Tavo' itself: even at the beginning of the service of a Jew,
when he is only at 'Tavo'
(before he fulfills a mitzvah)
- he must in that 'entering'
(Tavo)
inwardly5,
knowing that in this 'Tavo' itself lies his purpose of service at this moment,
which includes—and gives only the strength—to do the service after this: 'and you shall inherit it and settle in it,'
and the mitzvah of bringing Bikkurim and the declaration of Bikkurim,
until—the entirety of the fulfillment of the covenant in the continuation of the portion.
And to add,
that the name of the portion 'Tavo' indicates that the 'Tavo' is in a certain manner
(this does not refer to the command to enter the Land of Israel)
- and the 'Ki' expresses the order of how it will be—that it is a certainty that 'You shall come to the Land and settle and inherit it,'
and in the manner of 'And it shall be when you come'—'And it shall be' only means immediately7,
so that immediately one fulfills the mitzvah of Bikkurim.

The aforementioned matter has a connection
special with the month of Elul—the time of spiritual accounting on the previous year and of preparation for the coming year:
The month of Elul—an acronym for 'I am to my beloved and my beloved is to me'—is a time when every Jew feels close to the Almighty,
and a closeness connected with love and affection,
as emphasized in the expression 'my beloved.'
And as the well-known parable of the Alter Rebbe,
that in the month of Elul the Almighty is like a 'king in the field,'
"And then all who wish
(and are able)
are permitted to greet him, and he receives everyone with a pleasant countenance and shows a smiling face to all,"
and everyone can ask him for whatever he needs.
In addition, the content of 'Bikkurim' is emphasized—the unification of Jews with the Almighty and with closeness and love
('my beloved')
because of the preciousness of Jews before the Almighty; and for this there are no conditions,
that one must be a Torah scholar,
a Torah student or a fulfiller of mitzvot and so on,
rather, 'whoever wishes' can greet him, and he 'receives everyone with a pleasant countenance.'
Which underscores the essential virtue

of Jews—being the 'first fruit of His produce' of the Almighty—they are united with Him with a deep love

with 'Dodi'
(the Supreme)
,

and this
(the 'Ani l'Dodi')
specifically then brings also the 'V'dodi li',
the connection and love of the Supreme to Jews.
And as it is written24 'As water reflects face, so the heart of man to man': through the fact that the lower 'heart of man' glows with love to the upper 'to man' - 'I am my Beloved's',
this then brings the 'and my Beloved is mine' from the upper 'heart of man' to the lower 'man'.
And it could be said,
that what a Jew
(as he stands as 'Ani')
has the power to accomplish this

Cheshbon and Geulah
(as was spoken in previous years)
- as hinted in the word 'lev'17
(the place of the dwelling of love of 'Dodi'
(love)
- 'heart of man to man')
,
,
which has the gematria 22 with the addition of 10,
And it could be said that this corresponds to the 22 letters of the Torah which are revealed through the ten faculties of the soul of a Jew,
which through this becomes together - 'lev' - Israel, Torah, and the Holy One, blessed be He, are all one,
which then is the complete revelation of the unity of 'heart of man to man',
'I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine'.
From this we learn in practice - regarding the accounting of the soul that everyone must make in the month of Elul for the service of the past year,
in order to complete and perfect what was lacking or not done fully: is also to make the appropriate preparations for the service of the coming year:
Taking into account that every Jew is 'first fruits' which must be brought 'before the Lord your God' in the Holy Temple,
and this must permeate his entire life,
also his weekday matters - not only on Shabbat and festival days,
not only in the month of Elul and the month of Tishrei
(which is abundant in festivals2), but throughout the entire year - it is understandable how much he must be careful in everything he does.
See there.

Sefer HaSichos - 5751
Even when it concerns a single thought,
a word or an action,
which appears inferior compared to other thoughts,
words or actions - but when one considers properly,
that even the thought,
word or action is part of the 'first fruits' that are brought to the Holy Temple,
before the Lord your God - and the Kohen who will be in those days pays attention to every movement - he will surely endeavor and strive that every smallest thing,
every single detail of his conduct,
should be done with the fullest attentiveness and caution.
If this is so throughout all the days of the year,
how much more so must the responsibility and caution be - together with the merit - standing in the month of Elul,
the month of accounting for the entire past year,
and the month of preparation for the entire coming year,
and especially in the last twelve days of the month of Elul which correspond to the twelve months,
a day for a month - it is even more understood,
how one must cherish every moment of the day
(being corresponding to a whole month)
,
,
in making the proper accounting of the soul and preparation for the coming year!
And especially since in addition to the special month of Elul - this is in the year 5751,
acronym: 'It will be a year of wonders I will show him',
and a preparation for the year 5752,
acronym: 'It will be a year of wonders in everything'.
And one should add understanding - with the advantage of understanding over wisdom

The connection of both together - understand with wisdom and be wise with understanding,
as explained in many places.
And in addition to one's own service in all the above,
one must also see to influence and affect other Jews around him,
that they also do their service in completeness in the month of Elul,
and during the days of Selichos,
and then also in the month of Tishrei.
And furthermore, mainly - to arouse again regarding the effort to provide the needs of the holiday to all those who need to receive them,
and before that - the needs of Rosh Hashanah
('Eat fat and drink sweet and send portions to one for whom nothing is prepared')
,
,
and likewise in the intermediate days and during the entire month of Tishrei.
In all this comes a special lesson regarding the redemption,
which must come immediately and truly
(according to all signs)
:
:
The completeness of 'you will come to the land'
(and the fulfillment of the mitzvah of first fruits in its simple sense)
will be in the true and complete redemption,
'as in the days of your exodus from the land of Egypt',
as it speaks in the portion of Bikkurim.
Since this is the main thing that is time-bound - because according to all signs the redemption should have come long ago - it is understood that the 'and you shall answer and say before the Lord your God',
and especially in the month of Elul when 'anyone who wishes is permitted to greet His face and He receives everyone'
Parshas Tavo,

with a pleasant countenance and a smiling face to all' - it must be a special request
(in a loud voice: 'Until when'?!.

.
May the redemption be truly actualized!
And since,
that the 'and you shall answer and say' comes from a Jew - who is 'first fruits' to God,
'all one' with the Supreme,
and the 'and you shall answer and say' is said 'before the Lord your God'
(including in its explanation 'before' - in His inner essence,
as above)
- it is understood that the 'and you shall answer and say' has the power to bring the redemption into actuality
[as the 'and we cried out to God' in the Egyptian exile 'and God heard our voice etc. and brought us out with a strong hand etc. and brought us etc. and gave us this land']
,
,
even more - that 'before they call I will answer': since there exists the reality of a caller
(a Jew/ and he is in a state of 'they call',
the Supreme does not wait until there is the actual calling,
rather 'before they call I will answer'.
And although it is known the saying of our Rebbeim and Nesi'im
(which is printed and publicized5 that 'not with our will did we go into exile and not with our will will we come out of exile,
but by the will of God etc.' - it speaks of how a Jew finds himself with an independent will

in this physical world in mundane affairs etc.; but as a Jew stands 'one' with the Holy One, blessed be He,
and especially in the month of Elul

but in the language of the Mishnah - 'Do His will as your will so that He does your will as His will' - the will of the Supreme is the will of a Jew,
The will of a Jew is the will of the Almighty — a Jew has the power to

nullify the exile and bring the redemption immediately and truly!
— The matter of exile is, after all, not at all relevant to a Jew.
For a Jew's place is — near the table of his Father“△ʳ,
"before the Lord your God" in the Holy Temple.
And that which the Almighty created an exile is in order to evoke the service of a Jew to reveal in the world how he is "first fruits" to the Lord,
and how "Israel and the Holy One, blessed be He, are all one,“
and through this — immediately nullify the exile,
and extract all the good and elevated matters that exist in exile,
until — making from "exile" that it should be "redemption"
(by revealing the aleph of the Alufo shel Olam — the supernal intention — in the exile”-ʳ)
,
,
The advantage of repentance that emerges through the descent into exile.
And although "if one sins and repents etc., they do not give him the opportunity to repent”“△ʳ — nevertheless, the Almighty sent Jews into exile
("not by our will we went into exile" as above)
— but this came about through that which "He does terrible things upon mankind"4ʳ only in order to elevate Jews higher; and accordingly,
through the "and you shall speak and say" of a Jew he has the power to nullify the concealment and descent for the time being
