it says in the Haggadah,

"And our toil" — these are the sons, as it is said: "Every son [that is born] you shall cast into the river."

that Moshe Rabbeinu asked the Almighty,

Why have You done evil to this people,

and to this the Almighty answered him

(at the beginning of Parshas Va'eira)

: I am Hashem,

And I appeared etc. with [the name] Kel Shaddai, but [with] My name Hashem I did not make Myself known to them, etc. And you shall know that I am Hashem.
